Publishing is Carolen’s business, but collaborating on projects that can transcend communities is her passion.

Self-starter and entrepreneurial, Carolen views the world through a creative lens to look for ideas and solutions that will bring about change. She is passionate about startups and developing entrepreneurial ecosystems by bringing together enthusiastic people from all backgrounds who are interested in creating or building businesses.

Carolen organised Start Up Weekend Central Coast which attracted over 60 locals (developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and entrepreneurial enthusiasts) who came together and shared ideas to launch startups. 

Carolen founded CL Creations Pty Ltd over 35 years ago. As Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, the company continues as a specialist publishing company producing magazines and books and content for global organisations across many channels, including online and traditional media. 

In 2022, Carolen won the Government of NSW Community Service Award for services to her local community.
